Welcome from the Academy Head

Moretonhampstead is a vibrant school with a warm and friendly family atmosphere. We have kind, curious and engaged children and a staff team who are highly dedicated and strive to do the very best for every child. We enjoy positive relationship with parents and the local community.  

At Moretonhampstead, we believe in educating the ‘whole’ child. Not only do we aim for the very best academic standards, we also focus on developing values such as integrity, empathy, equity, respect and ambition. We support the children to grow into articulate, well rounded, positive individuals who are able to make well informed decisions and choices.  

We are fortunate to have a superb modern school building with excellent facilities and spacious grounds and outdoor spaces, nestled in Moretonhampstead within Dartmoor National Park.  

Moretonhampstead Primary School is a  member of The Link Academy Trust and benefits from working closely with the other schools within the Trust.
